Samasa I/II
Samasa [fusion] classes are grounding experiences that begin by connecting with breath and unwinding bodily tension before warming up to deeper postures that challenge us to stretch and grow. Each class is a unique flow that responds to specific the needs of individuals in the class. Samasa classes are appropriate for all levels, and aim to challenge advanced students while still providing any required modifications to safely accommodate injuries, limited mobility or those new to yoga practice.
Squid Yoga I/II
Squid yoga classes explore the freedom and strength we can find in subtle movements as we flow through a Samasa sequence. This practice invites playful exploration akin to an improvisational dance, structured around the instructor’s cues, creating a unique experience for each participant.
Restorative
When you feel the need to unwind and deeply relax, restorative classes are a wonderful way to calm your nervous system and refresh your spirit. Restorative classes typically include pranayama (breathing practice), guided meditation, and passive yoga postures. The practice of deep relaxation includes the engagement of the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS), which helps your body repair and recover from life’s stresses by reducing blood pressure and heart rate, improving immune function and digestion, and bringing balance to the adrenal system.

[Gentle] Ashtanga
Ashtanga yoga is an invigorating practice that can increase range-of-motion, build strength, and make you sweat! At Rainbow Bridge we offer flow classes in the Ashtanga tradition that are suitable for introductory and advanced students alike. The traditional sequence has been adapted to our philosophy to encourage a gradual warm-up, and set the pace of practice with each students’ breath, rather than the instructor’s count. Students are encouraged to deepen and challenge the flow of their practice, at their own pace, by increasing breath awareness and moving deeper into postures as their body permits.
Meditation – The practice of yoga was originally designed to prepare for and support the body in meditation. At Rainbow Bridge we offer guidance in practicing a variety of meditations and contemplative movement experiences. Pranayama, Mantra, Mudra, and Yoga Nidra are often interwoven into our yoga classes, and can also be practiced unto themselves.
